The JEM Project is very pleased to support our local Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County as a grant recipient of our 2021 spring cycle.
Did you know that BBBS matches consistently spend more one-on-one time together than other mentorship programs? These long-term relationships with a caring adult build trust and self-belief within youth who have someone to confide in and look up to. In turn, their perspective of life changes: they care more, they make a greater effort in school and within other relationships, they have more hope for their future, and they take pride in who they are and who they can become, thus avoiding unhealthy choices and maintaining the confidence to steer their life in a positive direction.
