Today was a great day as The JEM Project announced a grant to The Cool Kids Campaign to support additional tutors for children battling cancer.
The Cool Kids Campaign is devoted to improving the quality of life for pediatric oncology patients and their families by focusing on the academic, social and emotional needs brought on by a cancer diagnosis.
On average, when a child is diagnosed with cancer they are held back at least a year in
the classroom. The goal of Cool Kids is to give families the necessary support needed
to keep their student(s) at the student’s identified grade level.
